Teamwork
We see ourselves as pro-active members of a team with a common purpose: to deliver your construction project on time and to budget.
In 1998 Ducron Construction was the principal contractor in the development of the country’s first Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) site for Shell UK.
Recognising the limitations of over-specialisation, in 1993 we decided to diversify our business into non fuel-trade areas. This move was extremely successful and we presently undertake a lot of work for The Utilities Sector. We are now looking to build on this policy and further expand our activities.
Versatility is demonstrably our greatest strength.
Our technical proficiency and extensive construction-management expertise has enabled us to undertake a broad spectrum of projects. Our flexibility and adaptability yields real dividends for all our clients.
Company Attitude
- Our attitude creates the kind of approach and behaviour that builds strong relationships. We aim to align goals and bring together the right team for every task.
Company Investment
We are committed to investing in staff training site safety, and new technology and software to maximise efficiency:
Digital technology is used extensively to record site-work; and as required, images can be e-mailed from site to the client’s desktop; documents, drawings and images in a wide range of formats—including Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF)—can be quickly prepared and e-mailed to the client.
We are aware of the Construction Industry Trading Electronically (CITE) initiative to promote and develop e-commerce (EDI) within the construction industry
BS EN ISO 9001 Accredited
Health and Safety
- All our staff and suppliers have the competence to undertake their work with minimum risks to Health and Safety.
- Developing and maintaining a culture of zero tolerance to accidents and Health and Safety risks in all our workplaces.
- Our work activities achieve compliance with legislation, and our people are empowered to take action to minimise Health and Safety risks
Employee training
All employees are regularly appraised to identify training needs.
- all site-attending employees are trained as Competent Persons;
- all site-attending employees attend CTA (via CITB) Safety Awareness courses;
- all employees operating plant or machinery have a CTA license;
- all site foreman are trained in PASMA & IPAF and have a current PAL (powered access license)
Currently, we are working with the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) to further develop high-quality training programme for all our site based employees.
Keeping your site Operational
Subject to our legal responsibilities and overriding safety issues, we strive to keep our clients’ site/premises operational to the maximum possible extent. Where site closure is necessary, we do our utmost to minimise downtime because we know that lost sales can be difficult to rebuild once a site returns to normal operation.
Whose image?
Construction work frequently takes place under public gaze—or scrutiny of a client’s competitors. As such, we fully understand that throughout the duration of any project, members of the public (or any onlooker) may associate a client’s name or reputation with the conduct of on-site construction staff.
We stress to all our company staff, associated sub-contractors and suppliers the importance of professional conduct.
Environment Agency
Ducron Construction Limited holds a current Certificate of Registration pursuant to the Control of Pollution Act (1989). Registration number KEN/771093.
Insurance
Our commitment to safety and high standards of workmanship is reflected in the history of claims made against our insurance policy—there aren’t any!
We carry comprehensive insurance through Norwich Union, including:
- £5 million Public Liability;
- £10 million Employer’s Liability;
- Contractor’s All-Risk.
With an exemplary safety record, a widely-praised and comprehensive Health and Safety Policy, our clients can be sure of working with a company which does more than pay lip-service to the welfare of its personnel and safety of site operations. Safety is a culture, not a concept, which we support with training and full safety equipment supplied to all site-based employees Please refer to our Health & Safety page for further information
