We are looking for a qualified, experienced Health and Safety Environment Assistant Manager to work on a contracts within HV Construction projects  

Duties will involve –
Provide an advisory Health, Safety and Environment service to all managers and supervisorsDeveloping and maintaining procedural systems

 

Ensuring that the company and staff are aware and compliant to all Health and Safety legislation.

Compile and implement Health and Safety procedures in line with legislation and codes of best practice and the Companies Health and Safety policy.

Administer and control accurate records of all appropriate Health and Safety documentation to ensure information is up to date and effectively recorded.

Deliver advice, best practice and review through the Health and Safety Committee and in line with the Companies Health and Safety policy.

Carry out site audits to ensure the company staff are following all procedures and policies

Co-ordinate and where appropriate conduct Health and Safety training to all staff to ensure that staff are aware and competent in carrying out their duties in a safe manor.

Advise the company on new Health and Safety legislation/codes of practice to ensure that procedures and records are up to date.

Liaise with company employees and sub contractors on Health and Safety issues to ensure matters are dealt with as efficiently and as effectively.

Applicants must be NEBOSH qualified/ NVQ Level 4 (min)

Experienced in CDM Regulations and other construction related regulations. Also experienced in HV Substation Works

Rate of Pay to be discussed

Length of Contract 6 month with possible option to extend
