Ducron Construction is a very efficient - and effective - trading organisation; by minimising our own overheads we are able to maintain the competitive edge and pass this directly onto our clients: translating into extremely cost effective solutions without jeopardising our own trading position.

Ducron Construction was founded, in 1973 by the late B W Douglas who was much respected and is remembered with great fondness by all those who worked for and with him. The trading philosophy established by him is continued by the present directors: his sons Richard and Tim, both of whom have many years experience in the construction trade. The diligence and attitude espoused by Ducron Construction Ltd all boils down to a genuine desire to provide a truly excellent service backed by a team who take real personal pride in seeing a job well done: i.e. to price, time and to standards.

Beyond the prices that reside within the pile of quotations on your desk will be the factors that cannot be costed for and only come to light after engaging a particular company's services. Our belief is that we treat client's businesses with the same respect that we would treat our own. Matters such as maintaining Safe Clean and Tidy sites; knowing that, to the casual on-looker, our conduct reflects on the clients business as well as our own.

Without doubt the construction industry is tightly regulated; it has to be for reasons that need not be expanded upon. To earn the trust and respect of those who are charged with ensuring employee and public safety is something we at Ducron have worked very hard to achieve. We have an excellent working relationship with our existing clients and are listed as approved contractors for many large organisations. Ducron is fully CDM compliant and we maintain comprehensive insurance at all times. We are also ISO 9001, Achilles and Verify accredited with memberships to RoSPA and CITB.

Our history
Ducron Construction was founded in July 1973 as a sole-trading enterprise by the late Bev Douglas. His strong sense of personal responsibility imbued Ducron with the ethos it retains today. Between 1973 and 1993 Ducron’s operations were confined to the retail fuel sector—developing filling stations.
In 1993, brothers Richard and Tim Douglas inherited the name and formed a partnership. The subsequent years have been ones of diversification, growth and change leading to the formation of a private limited company Ducron Construction Limited with Tim and Richard as its shareholders and Directors.

A wealth of transferable skills and experience
As mentioned, for 20 years Ducron operated almost exclusively within the retail fuel sector. The development of filling stations takes place under the auspices of a number of regulatory authorities; consequently, it demands competent management, rigorous safety standards, attention to detail and the very highest quality of workmanship.
